Challenge

As a leading integrated Facilities Management company with a service offering that spans cleaning, contract catering, security and many other facets of Facilities Management, Atalian Servest needed analytics technology that matched their ‘best in class service’.  Having won several key client contracts requiring provision of data and reporting as part of SLA’s, it became clear that the standard ‘out of the box’ Microsoft applications typically being used
to surface reports, were not fit for purpose. After reviewing the market, Atalian Servest commissioned Qlik Elite Partner, Data Technology, to execute a Proof of Concept. Qlik was quickly identified as the only technology platform that could deliver against all requirements.

Solution

Data Technology delivered a business solution with Qlik Sense Enterprise. Qlik pulls data from various internal and external sources, and visualizes detailed data for analysis around performance, results and value of cleaning services provided to clients. The speed, agility and ease of use of means that clients, such as Great Western Railway, have self-service dashboards specific to them, providing insight into key performance measures e.g. cleaning times, areas and cleaning services completed. In Retail, with clients including Argos, NEXT and Primark, Qlik allows metrics analysis previously impossible to measure i.e. mapping, trend analysis, and a percentage score for cleaning audits. Atalian Servest also use Qlik to self-audit and assess quality of service helping them identify areas for improved performance.

Result

Business users access information on any device e.g. tablet, and create visualizations to share with the COO and Regional Directors and Managers. This collaborative working with real-time data for specific activity analysis across locations, measured against daily, weekly and monthly targets; has empowered proactive decision making of an activity or service component change. Combining enhanced performance and offering Qlik dashboards in service portfolios is delivering added value to clients, and help Atalian Servest win contracts.
