Situation
Specialists in innovative IT solutions for the insurance market, Caytons Cyber develop a number or bespoke solutions used by insurers, MGAs and other underwriting and claims organisations. Their flagship product, “Console” was born out of the sheer volume of paper it took to manage and monitor claims and policies. At a ground level it allows users to quickly create policies and add claims, but over the years, Console has expanded to deal with the multitude of need across a vast range of insurance disciplines. In today’s world of analytics, Console needed to become centralised, dynamic and self-serving.
Solution
Caytons searched the BI market for a solution to optimise and add value to Console and with Data Technology’s guidance, they invested in Qlik. Data Technology conducted insights research with a proof of concept to demonstrate how to expose and visualise data easily. Through in-depth analysis and self-service, Qlik Sense provides more dynamic and visual BI referrals against claims, providing support in real-time.

Success
Console clients can now perform integrated mapping and digitised trend analysis, with insight and reporting into issues such as what types of claims being made and how frequently are they being made. Users can easily access and interrogate the data, boosting user empowerment and data literacy. Real-time access to crucial information drastically reduces processing time.
